With some tweaks it will be an awesome feedback system for players. Since this game is lacking in opinion polling, Chirper might be best suited to fill in that gap. MAKE IT A FEEDBACK mechanism for the game. Another player may choose to join a different chirper group, and a third might join them all So a mayor/player interested in the environment might join the environmentalist chirper group where they get more targeted chirps about CIM reactions to pollution and environmental issues. Hashtags that are clickable perhaps opening up to tooltip showing stats on # of rechrips indicating popularity of an opinion What Chirper needs is to be expanded NOT cut back. I was exicted to see CIMs commenting on what I was doing in my first few hours of the game and even more excited I could click on their names and find them in my city. The problem with Chirper is it is very basic and after a few hours of play all the messages have been cycled through. It is an interesting take of the 'news ticker' system of Sim City, perhaps with a more modern twist. Thanks for listening, and have a lovely Count me in the minority that do not mind Chirper. Right now this is a CO-made mod, we aspire to add it as a checkbox / easily accessible option before launch. There will be separate options when you start a game for unlocking everything (except monuments) and unlimited money/sandbox. We believe this is a good middle ground, as the feature is important for you to get an overview of the wants and needs of your citizens.Īlso, something else that hasn't been properly communicated. The bird will still stay on your screen, but you must click it to see the updates from your Cims. The change we have gone for is that you will now have an option to disable the sound and animation/pop up from Chirper. Taking this into consideration - a give-and-take is in order. Listening to our players-to-be is very important to us, yet so is the artistic integrity and design choices of Colossal Order. We've heard your feedback regarding Chirper and understand that a relatively large amount of vocal users are not fond of this feature. I'm one for rambling, so let me make this short and concise for once.
